THE BREAKERS--An elegant and beautiful COVERLET ENSEMBLE of 200 thread count 100% cotton on the face and backing with 250 grams of cotton filling. There are over 900,000 stitches in each coverlet. The pillow shams are made of 200 thread count 100% cotton on the face and backing with 200 grams of cotton fill. The DIAMOND BED RUFFLE is 100% cotton and accentuates the coverlet beautifully. To further enhance the bed ensemble are the SHEET SETS of 100% cotton sateen. The Breakers is the alrgest and most famous of the Newport's "summer cottages". The Breakers was built by Cornelius Vanderbilt II and designed by the architecht, Richard Morris hunt. The north and south wings of the house are joined by a two-story arched loggia in the Palladian manner. The wall from the Great Hall is almost entirely of glass, affording an expansive view of the ocean from inside. It is a Renaissance Revival structure built without limitations of scale or expense.
